Classified as an independent mini-prime,[5] Triad Securities caters to small and start-up hedge funds, trading partnerships, and high net-worth individuals, who otherwise could be shunned by larger institutions.[6] Triad's prime brokerage support allows customers to use the services of multiple executing brokers while maintaining one consolidated account.
To alleviate counter-party risk and to promote custody diversification, Triad offers clients a fully integrated multi-prime solution through two industry-leading institutional clearing firms (accounts are introduced on a fully disclosed basis).[7] Clients receive the benefit of multiple clearing capabilities while receiving one account location and consolidated statement.
Triad offers two distinctive trading solutions: Triad Trader Pro (TTP), Triad's electronic DMA platform, and two full-service execution desks located in downtown New York City and London, England. Triad's agency-only desks trade equities, equity options, ETFs, and fixed income instruments. Triad also accepts order flow via the Charles River Network.[8]
The New Issue Service provides an in-depth examination and consensus of how initial public offerings (IPOs), secondaries, preferreds, warrants, convertibles, and other primary market offerings are affected by the variables in the global financial markets. Triad’s new issue reports supply clients with a Wall Street consensuses of opening-day premiums. The report suites and direct trader services encompass the various aspects of the new issue marketplace by providing fundamental and technical trading reports and charts, NYSE floor looks, deal color, historical performance, and an interactive database and calendar of all present, future, and past deals since 2000 through Triad’s “IPO Dashboard.”[9]
